Strolling through Muir Woods

Just north of San Fransisco lies Muir Woods National Monument, a beautiful preserve of old growth Redwood trees.

The Great Escape

It's pretty great when you can discover (or re-discover) hidden gems in a place you've lived all your life. Todd and I were born and raised in Winnipeg. Yep, just like the Simpsons said, "Winnipeg. We were born here. What's your excuse?" Ah but Winnipeg gets a bad rap. It's actually a really fun city to live in. We have so many great independent, niche restaurants, shops and creative places here. People who enjoy digging for that hidden treasure will find it easy to keep themselves entertained. That's how I feel about it anyway.

Houseboats of Sausalito

For those of us who are fascinated by alternative dwellings, a trip to the San Francisco Bay area isn't complete without a visit to the unique Sausalito House Boat community of Marin County.

The 17-mile Drive through our lens

You may have heard of the 17 Mile Drive. This famous costal route takes you along a toll road between Pacific Grove and Carmel by the Sea, through the affluent gated community of Pebble Beach.
