It was surreal sitting in the intersection of Broadway and Kennedy, looking up at the wide blue sky. What a beautiful day. Tons of locals turned up. I saw some crazy bikes, and Mel & I saw a lot of friends we haven't talked to in a long time.
It was nice to allow a simple set up this time. We took it easy, enjoyed some coffees, Slurpees and lemonade, and talked to a bunch of new & old customers and friends. I worked on a tan that turned into a mild burn (yowcha!) and the day flew by! Lukie showed up and joined in pretty much every event there was. He had a blast!
Check out who stopped by to visit! Local (until December) Barb & her husband of Spiro Creations stopped to hang out for a while, wearing her ballet flats (insanely beautiful in person!) and a new bag design I drooled over. Seems just about everyone is paying attention to this one, and she deserves it! She's such a genuine girl, and I love her story of how she fell in love with her craft. Inspiring!
We visited with our friend Andee of Sew Dandee (she's always where it's at) and also grabbed a beautiful grouse and phesant feather neaklace/headband by local Sigourney of Ruby (I'll show and tell another day).
Pretty much an awesome day, that didn't feel like September at all.
I hope we do this every year!
