This weekend, we went to the beach for the first time this year. It was so sunny, but still kind of windy and cool so stuck to skipping stones on the shore, and hanging out on the boardwalk.
Luke loved the Playland arcade even more this year. I adored the 70's black light posters and the "bing-ting-ting" of vintage pinball machines.
After spending some coin, and trading them for a handful of candy (totally worth it), we headed down to Johnees for chips. Sooo busy already - makes me think I'm seriously in the wrong business. Chips are where it's at!
It took a really long time for our order. I kinda got grumpy - 4 year olds don't hold out so well for these kinds of things!
But....the wait was still worth it. They gave us a ton extra, and I pigged out like nobody's business. I have to watch my weight a lot - it's not easy sometimes, so I hardly ever eat ANYTHING fried. Let's say, this was my day off and i made an exception...
After "lunch" we skipped stones, since it was too cold to wade yet, and collected pretty granite rocks.
It was a great day off, and a lovely weekend!
