Today was a good day.
In the morning, I woke up being shot at.
by two of my cutest cowboys.
We went for a drive, and on our way, I came across an amazing charity sale, in which I picked up a few things for myself.
and a crescent moon.
along with an INSANE tangle of beautiful vintage chains, pendents, charms, earrings, and bracelets. That means there's something for you too, and after it gets untangled and cleaned up, I'm having a super lovely $10 etsy shop sale on a bunch of very cool vintage accessories! So excited to show you my favorites this week!
We dropped Luke off to go to the carnival with his cousins (it's carnival time in the city, so each neighborhood is having little fairs) - and Todd brought me (as an anniversary present from a few months back) to see Rain, a tribute to the Beatles. Yeah, it was pretty amazing, and they played quite a bit of songs off of Rubber Soul, I was smitten.
Sigh, I wouldn't have wanted to live in the 60's - what with the racism, sexism, fear mongering and general divide - but the clothes and the music, it was evidence of a real revolution. We have the youth of that time to thank for the freedoms we enjoy today.
I wonder if I would have been one of those screaming fainting women. Doesn't seem like me, but who knows, maybe in a different time when music meant something more.
