Welcome to the Lune Travels Blog. I'm Jill. Within this blog you will find 10 years of travel, camping, and family stories. There is still time to tell many more. Please enjoy, and thank you for reading Lune Travels.

the night before

Today's the day...I know I'm going on and on about this festival - sorry if it's a bit annoying. But, I have to tell you the truth - I'll be talking about it for the next 10 days or so, since that's what every single day will be about, from 11 am till midnight. It's really like a weird alternate reality to basically live a long stretch of time in one spot on the street. No I don't sleep there (although I get asked that alot - this boler is pretty cool but it's no clown car, and I don't want to sleep on a pile of clothing).

So the next two weeks or so will be full of talking to hundreds of people I've never met, laughing with people I haven't seen in a long time, eating cakettes, samosas, gyros, drinking lots of fresh squeezed lemon aid, listening to main stage music, watching the street performers from my eggies front door.

Last year i had help enough to see a few performances in actual venues, and this year I'll probably be able to do it again. Live theater is soooo hit and miss, but it's fun even if it's bad - and the BEST if it's REAAALLLY bad (wink).

I also love meeting new vendors and checking out their setups. We have a few old friends and a few new ones this year. I'm sure it'll be a great time. I promise to have a stocked fridge (wink, wink).

PS. Yes, we have a ton of pretty colored chevron friendship bracelets. These are soooo nice - I had so much fun making a display for them.

Lots more festival stuff to come, including exactly what we did new for our display this year. I can't wait to set up tomorrow! But now, I really have to try and get some sleep because we'll be up early - and baby will definitely need a bottle in a couple hours...
