I get a kick out of sharing the little things, and it seems like a lot of other people do too. Instagram is the thing people. More than 1 billion Instagram photos have been uploaded so far, with an average of 5 million new photos being uploaded each day. It's really a short cut to blogging in my opinion, where you can share so much more of what you love at the very minute it's happening.
I was thinking about it today, and I think I'll probably keep blogging here as long as I can, regardless of what changes in the world of technology. It's such a great way to reflect on where we have been, and where we are going. I'm making an effort to share memories, and events that I want to look back on in the years ahead here on Lune, as well as information and ideas that I believe make this blog a worthwhile read for anyone who finds their way here. I want you to take something with you, into your own world, that will enrich your own living. I hope I've made that connection with some of you in the past 3 years through this blog.
But, sometimes I don't want to sit down for a half hour and write. I just want to share a quick picture of a 70's book cover feat. a classic fiery headed witch surrounded by a fog of dry ice. I can't help but show the garage sale artwork I admired, and the old watercolors of Copenhagen I hung in my bedroom. Outfit posts are hardly my gig, but on instagram, I don't have to think too much before I share a favorite maxi dress, or how glowingly white my legs are after a long dark Canadian winter (should I have shared that?). Even though the picture quality is rough, I can capture the funny little things a 6 year old boy and a 1 year old girl do to bring a lot of happiness into my life. Come and join me on instagram (for android and apple) by following me: @lunevintage or
