It's the summer solstice, the true beginning of summer. Welcome the blooming bushes, green grass, laughing squealing kids, animals and long warm evenings. My garden has finally started to bloom. Sage Salvia attracts the hard working bumble bees. Unfortunately, Peonies attract ants. No matter how much I search through the petals, one always makes its way into the house. Another guest is the nest of robins in the eves troughs. I'm considering putting up a ladder to take a picture of the babies at a safe distance but I'm still afraid they may be abandoned if I try. Their cute chirps are nice to hear through the porch windows in the  morning. I love how the world around us is decorated with color. We're so happy it's summertime.
