copper, mine

August 23, 2012

Gold is great, silver is good, but copper - that's my bag. The great thing about copper is that although it has value and is considered a precious metal, there are still many that consider jewelry made from it to be costume quality. I've had some luck finding copper plated trinkets but lately, it's been slim pickings. That's why I was so happy to come across this copper bead necklace at a second hand shop for a measly $2.99 a few weeks ago. Wrapped around the wrist, it makes a killer bangle. It is so satisfying to me to find something I value so highly for such a tiny cost. That's the thrill of treasure hunting.

January has me hiding, kinda lost, floating aimlessly, wasting time, wondering, watching, and trying hard to have humour about this predicament of super cold -40 C days with no end in sight. I really just want to get out and enjoy this beautiful winter city without loosing a finger or ear!
Nothing like a cozy log cabin to stop in for a drink right in the middle of a run. Love the updates this year @asessippi - better than ever!
