Whew. This week has been long and busy. Getting back into the early morning routine that school brings is a big change, even more so as the weather gets cooler and more layers are involved. Meaning, everything has to be done in a particular order, or it'll all be undone before I get to the end. Put Evies socks and shoes on before helping Luke tie his laces, and I'll be looking at a barefoot baby running past before I know it. I'm finding that by 9:00 I'm exhaling as though I hadn't taken a breath in an hour. You know what I mean?
Come afternoon, I'm working with new challenges at my part time job which I really didn't anticipate. It's caused some stress, but I'm starting to see that it's just one of those things I can manage if I adjust my attitude toward it. In reality, every job has it's ups and downs. I love working for myself with Lune, but that comes with it's own set of anxieties and responsibilities. It's nice to be able to spread the work between being self employed and professionally employed in this way. It may limit my successes, but it sure diminishes my stresses! I'm not saying that I don't have plans to at some point go full time with Lune, but everything in good time.
And then, speaking of stress, all week I've been helping my family prepare for a huge estate garage sale this weekend. Almost all of the antique items are sold, so this is the rest of the things one accumulates over a lifetime. Looking at it, I wondered how many tables it would take to lay out all of our stuff. Is that morbid? It's hard not to think that way. I think it's healthy to reflect every so often on the things which are binding us.
Anyhow, I hope you have a great weekend. I'll be busy selling stuff in a cold garage. Glamorous information to share with the world, I know. Next week, I'm doing a fall project for the house so it would be sweet if a Lune DIY would come from it. It's been a while, hasn't it? I'm feeling crafty.
