It's a cold, grey fall Friday. I need a little color. Here's something special from my home. I pulled a pair of handmade wooden mushroom stakes from the garden of my late aunt and uncles home before it was sold. I don't know how old they are, but I'm pretty sure my aunt made them. She was an extremely crafty lady. They have that perfect amount of weathering that gives them a more organic shape. Now they live safely indoors in my house plants. Everyone likes a little toadstool.
This weekend is going to be a full one. We're decorating for Halloween, putting Eggie into storage, visiting the farm, going to an outdoor birthday party, and walking with zombies in the annual zombie walk. I am very challenged by low light photography, so I'm going to do my best this year to capture some of this event. The costumes are nuts. And, yeah, we dress up. I bet this year will be better than ever.
What are you doing this weekend?
