If I look tired in this photo, it's because I am. We've been having a round of colds in this house, and I was the 3rd in line to suffer. Things pretty much went on as normal, but with a much scratchier voice and a slack look on my face. When your body feels week, it's usually hard to keep in a positive mood. Honestly, I've felt so negative about a load of things that I had to keep reminding myself to not act on anything until I physically felt better, and the sun was shining. I've learned over time that most problems have a good solution if they're looked at from the right perspective. When you're down, every idea seems bad and you read everything the wrong way. For me, that's a good time to stay quiet.
A visit to the thrift store always picks me up, so today I made a side trip. There I found a dead stock late 60's deep blue robe coat with a velour exterior, pattern lined hood and wooden toggle buttons. The condition is impeccable, but the kicker was the original tags. Tags are so rare, it makes the find even more special. I'm thinking of keeping it for a late night beach cover up for our trip this winter, or it may end up in the shop - we'll see. It's nice to be able to pull myself out of a little funk with a find like that. Luke found a $3 game of Sorry, in very good condition. That made him happy. I'm looking forward to a night out with friends, and feeling myself again next week. peace.
