First, Happy New Year 2013 friends! You may have noticed an unusual silence around here since Christmas. This is because our family skipped town very early Christmas morning and hopped a plane bound for Mexico. We were lucky to spend both Christmas and New Years there. It was truly amazing - once again proving to me that nothing is more valuable in life than creating opportunity for memorable experiences with the ones you love. I'll save every spare cent to do it again, and again for as long as I am able.
This afternoon I uploaded 706 photos to my laptop, with a few more on cd to add and a film camera to develop and scan. Still, I see that I didn't capture everything I wish I had, but there were so many times when having a camera on hand would have hindered the moment. I'll do my best to describe what I missed.
In the following days, I'm going to do a series of posts about our time in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. I'm going to separate the places we visited into individual posts, along with tips for traveling with children, a post about smart shopping in Mexico, and reviews on excursions and our resort. I hope you enjoy what I'm going to share. Every time I travel, I learn something new. This was our first time abroad as a family of four, and it was in most part a great success. I hope you don't mind if I indulge in a bit of travel blogging for the next while, and will try to make it as informative as possible along with photos of smiling beach babies.
