I was sorting through old images on my laptop this evening and came across these photos. They were done as part of a shoot for my design label, Love Lune. At the time, I was just learning to use my camera. There are so many things I would have done differently these days, but I still enjoy them very much. It makes me feel inspired to be more experimental in the photos I take. I think my biggest hurdle is that I doubt my abilities to lead a model through a shoot effectively. The path from vision to eventual interpretation can be muddled easily. If I were to return to school, I think I would like to focus on fine art photography. For now, I'll continue as I always have, learning by example, and a whole lot of trial and error.
I'm counting the days until the spring thaw arrives. The river bank is close, and the most beautiful place to explore and practice working with light and shadow.
