Today I wanted to share the 100cameras mission with you. It truly touched me. I have 13 years of experience working with children and teens and know that enabling them through art and music is a very effective way to raise confidence and nourish a healthy self image. Empowerment comes with accomplishment. It serves as a bold example of how their efforts can result in something powerful and positive. Their life is not one dimensional. Their paths have not yet been set for them. I think providing these opportunities is essential to the health of our future. 100cameras empowers marginalized children to document their lives through photography and to create positive change in their own communities. 100% of the money from the children's purchased prints is used to raise awareness and capital to meet physical needs and empower sustainable growth within their community.
Here are a few of the many prints available for purchase through 100cameras. They come from children living in Cuba, South Sudan, New York City and India. You can also choose to Adopt a Camera and directly gift a child with a valuable tool to brighten their world. Check this wonderful project out today!

This photo was taken by Josephine. She is 14 years old.
Josephine lives at St. Bartholomew's Orphanage. Her parents were HIV positive and died when she was young. When she was a child, she fell ill to polio. Josephine is a joy to the children and the women who work at the orphanage. She enjoys cooking and helping with the chores. Josephine loved taking pictures with her camera.
