Some things are so good, they're worth waiting for. I picked this up at the thrift store yesterday. It's a child sized 70's cardigan by Zephr (great name) that has a pretty blue Greek key design. It looks like it would fit a 5 or 6 year old perfectly. Far too big for Eve now, I decided I'd keep it until she was older. It's actually very difficult to find vintage clothing for that stage between toddler and teen. I once came across a lady selling her stash of vintage children's clothing. There was a ton of girls wear, plus cool little plaid suit jackets and corduroy bell bottoms. At the time, Luke was about 5 (and not into plaid pants) and I didn't think we'd have another baby so I passed on it. About a month later, we were expecting Eve! Now I regret not buying a few pieces just in case. She would have looked so cute in some of those things. sigh . . .
I won't make the mistake of not thinking ahead again - especially with girls sizes. I realize there's going to be a point where my little moon will make her own fashion choices that might not match up with mine. But, until 5 or 6, I say my influence will provide her with some fashion education, an alternative to pink sparkly bieber t-shirts. Wish me luck!
