Springtime in the garden is so beautiful. I've learned over time that although it involves a lot of work (and some investment) keeping a garden is very rewarding. Usually I let it get pretty wild before buckling down and fixing things up, but this year we decided to really enjoy our outdoor spaces. Todd hung some lights on the fence to illuminate our evenings, I planted a few more flowers, bushes, some more vine, and even a blueberry bush. Next week we're going to hang the fringed hammock I bought on the streets of Playa del Carmen in December. There are so many birds out this year. We've been counting the different calls and watching them fly from tree to tree, hoping along roof tops and fences. Early yesterday morning Todd saw squirrels, bunnies, birds, and the duck couple that roams the neighborhood all taking run of the quiet streets. Sitting in the sunshine, I'm reminded why this is such a great place to live. I guess that's why we endure those long frosty Canadian winters. This is a slice of paradise.
