In a world made small by the proliferation of social media, visuals from across the globe can expand our appreciation of this planet we live on. I personally feel inspired to travel even more than before and make it a priority to see all that I can see in this lifetime. It's a gift we share with one another, these insider glimpses of a curious place. Those postcard like images are far better than any tourist guide or travel brochure.
Sometimes however, the overwhelming amount of exquisite imagery we find online can cause a divide between the world out there and the world right here. Don't despair when you get that feeling that you must be living in the most boring, uninspiring place on earth. Average and Ordinary are subjective descriptors. Often, it only takes a walk around your own neighborhood to find something worth sharing proudly with the world. A shift in perspective can turn a crop of wildflowers growing to the side of some trash cans into something worth photographing. Those flowers are commonplace to you, but to someone in another climate across the world, they are unique.
I've done a little re-organization of the blog's categories to separate Articles from Our Stories. It's my goal to write a bit more for YOU the reader along with our usual journaling of stuff we do in our lives. In it, I've included a collection posts featuring places in and around Winnipeg, Manitoba. You may find yourself in our neck of the woods one day, you never know!
