I'm living in anticipation this week. We are just days away from packing up the car and heading west down the Trans Canada highway for a summer roadtrip. A few months ago I blogged about our plans to make it all the way to Tofino, but as I learned we wouldn't be able to tow Eggie over the mountains to get there, and that taking our small car with limited storage for camping gear was the only economical option, we changed our route. Saving Vancouver and the coast for another trip (probably flying), we're road tripping it all the way west to the BC border and heading down the scenic Yellowhead Highway for our return home. We'll get to visit Drumheller in the Alberta badlands and the extraordinarily beautiful Banff national park, Lake Louise, Lake Minniwaka, Jasper and the Ice Fields Parkway among other stops. I'll be travel blogging along the way, taking lots of photos and talking about the days as they are fresh in my mind. Hopefully if you're reading along you'll get a sense of being along for the ride. Just a few more days to go!
