meeting place

September 30, 2013

Where the Red and Assiniboine rivers join lies a meeting place with 6,000 years of human history. The Forks national historic site of Canada is a beautiful place that we enjoy year round for it's open green spaces, river walk, docks & boats, markets and cultural events. One of the selling points about the old neighborhood we live in was it's easy walking access to this spot. It's an oasis in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. The scenery is changing now, fall infusing the foliage with it's golden tones. We always have a nice evening together here.

NOTE: Eve's tam was brought back from Scotland by Todd's parents. I think it looks so seventies with the denim jacket and brown flared cords, don't you? // shoes : converse (a gift from my parents) cords + jacket : thrifted (40c for the pants!)

January has me hiding, kinda lost, floating aimlessly, wasting time, wondering, watching, and trying hard to have humour about this predicament of super cold -40 C days with no end in sight. I really just want to get out and enjoy this beautiful winter city without loosing a finger or ear!
Nothing like a cozy log cabin to stop in for a drink right in the middle of a run. Love the updates this year @asessippi - better than ever!
