Happy Halloween! We did a little photoshoot in the porch. I love taking pictures of the kids costumes every year. Eve's was a slightly altered, handmade Snow White dress from Value Village. It was $5! A bit big but I stitched it up at the seams so she could wear it again as she gets older. The cape we already had, I just made it shorter and salvaged the rest for a headband. I made the embroidered bluebird felt patch to cover a hole I burnt in the front with an iron. "Just Put A Bird On It!"
My costume is pieced together with vintage clothing. I wore a 70's, high waist, wool maxi skirt, some witchy roper boots, and a full length, hooded felt cape. The hat I bought a few years ago in a thrift shop and I've never seen one like it since. It's black velvet and has thin wire stitched in that allows you to twist and shape it.
Todd carved the cute cat pumpkin. It's become a tradition to carve a cat one - don't know why. It just seems like we do.
Luke is Rigby from Regular Show. It's a pretty funny one, right up there with Adventure time. He didn't get to do a lot of trick or treating since he hurt his eye this week and has to take it easy, but he still got plenty of candy and is doing well.
Hope you had a great night!
