our Airbnb home in Vancouver

our Airbnb home in Vancouver

We're back in Winnipeg now. The 3 and a half hour flight home went well, and we arrived back around midnight central time. I'm sitting among a pile of bags, but before I start doing laundry I wanted to share the first set of photos I took while in VanCity. If you follow me on instagram, you might have wondered how we happened upon this cozy apartment to spend the week in. I booked this one bedroom flat in an old Kitsalano home through Airbnb. It was very affordable (we paid $95 a night) and really gave us a sense of what it's like to live in a laid back, central Vancouver neighbourhood. Our hosts were wonderful, also living on premises, giving us privacy but everything we needed to feel at home. I think Eve was convinced we were staying permanently. She settled right in.

Now that I've had such a great experience with vacation rentals, I'm spoiled on hotel rooms. I already have a few favourites on my Airbnb wish list. Do you think you'd ever choose to stay in a vacation rental? Have you done so before?
