There's something so magical and nostalgic about a carousel. Even as adults, we're drawn to those colourful galloping horses, bobbing merrily around to the music. Along the shoreline, between the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge you'll find a glass enclosure which holds Jane's Carousel.
The carousel was built in 1922 and originally resided in Ohio. In 1984 it was purchased and renovated for the enjoyment of those visiting Empire Fulton State Park in NYC. Here it remains, adding fun and character to area.
Rides are $2. That was the best two bucks we spent this trip! Eve was over the top impressed with the whole display. She named her horse Charger and talked about it for weeks afterward. Sometimes the small things are the most memorable. Thanks for the merriment Jane's Carousel!
