Last weekend we had the best time at the 10th annual Harvest Sun Music Festival in Kelwood Manitoba. I shared a vendor table with my sister in law (who was showcasing Color By Amber ) and tried something a little different than the usual vintage fare. Instead, I designed a version of the popular floral festival crown and spent the weeks leading up to the festival hanging out in my sun porch whenever I could, creating these beauties. Instead of using the standard wide elastic band for these crowns, I used a very flexible, rubber coated wire which I then wrapped with space dyed, non-fray yarn and capped with brass cones. The result is a band which can be easily adjusted for any crown size, as well as used as a floral hat band and even as a wreath or garland while not in use.
While I'd love to have an excuse to continue creating these Festival Crowns, there are currently just a small batch left which I've made available for our online friends. Find them for sale right on our Lune Vintage Instagram Shop @lunevintage or email me directly email@example.com for an invoice. I enjoyed getting crafty - hope you enjoy them!
