We’ve been to Wisconsin several times over the years, but never had a chance to visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin home. This time around, my Mom and I spent a wonderful morning exploring the grounds and learning all about the history of the area, and some of the fascinating stories from the life of this famous architect. You definitely don’t need to be a student of architecture to appreciate the genius of this place. It’s pure magic. Here are just a few of the pictures I took to help me remember a flawless summer morning meandering through the hills, school, studio, theatre, farm and home of Frank Lloyd Wright. Enjoy!
Situated in the area of Spring Green, Wisconsin, the Taliesin property is maintained by Taliesin Preservation Inc. Tours and events fund ongoing restoration of the grounds and estate. Read about available tours HERE.
Hope these images encourage you to make a trip to Taliesin the next time you’re in Wisconsin. We took the Estate Tour which brings you to the Hillside Studio & Theater, the Taliesin home, Tan-y-Deri and more during a four-hour tour. It’s a memorable, educational, and inspiring experience!
